Once her undergraduate studies were finished Nanette Lepore went on to the New York City's Fashion Institute of Technology, where she was successful in gaining her degree in design. However Nanette always knew she wouldn't be totally happy until her designs bore her own name. In 1992 Nanette set up a small shop in a penthouse office in the garment district. It quickly became the place for poets and painters who would bounce ideas off each other whilst stargazing on the roof.
Today Nanette enjoys a strong celebrity following, including Eva Longoria, Sharon Stone, Blake Lively, Scarlett Johansson, Milet Cyrus and Taylor Swift.
