In the 1940s Karrimor started manufacturing hand sewed cotton-duck bicycle saddlebags above a bike shop in Lancashire. Over the following decades Karrimor became the leading British mountaineering brand, famous for using innovative fabrics and designs and widely used on British lead expeditions to the Himalaya. Nigel Cabourn is a Newcastle based fashion designer, famous for producing vintage outerwear which incorporates mountaineering and military themes. The K100 Karrimor by Nigel Cabourn collaboration builds on the experience and heritage of both parties. The result is a stunning range of jackets which cater for everything the British weather can produce. The Karrimor tradition of innovation comes to the fore in the collaboration, particularly in the Mountain Rucksack Jacket which has a backpack subtly incorporated into the garment. The K100 Karrimor by Nigel Cabourn jackets are both functional and stylish.
